Soliloques is a series of 7 microludes for solo alto saxophone. Saying it all in a few words, that's the idea of this work. Each piece, which is less than a minute long, is one like a few words or a sentence thrown on paper, a sketch, an idea, a direction, a brushstroke.

The piece was written for the French saxophonist Stéphane Sordet and is a tribute to the Hungarian composer György Kurtág.
