Break Point is part of a series of short pieces for brass and piano. In this series, Robert Lemay tried to find a fusion between the piano and the brass rather than a juxtaposition. In this piece, we can speak of a true trumpet and piano duet instead of a work for trumpet with piano accompaniment. The two instruments become complementary to each other. This piece was made possible with the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
