Henriette Bonnion, Constance Quéniaux, Johanna Hiffernan… We know them having seen them in the paintings of the master "Gustave Courbet", but what were their most private thoughts?

Through twelve short pieces written for women’s voices, a composer and an author imagine together the deepest intimacy of these muses.

These short pieces can be interpreted by a vocal quartet or by a professional or amateur ensemble of talented female vocalists. The quartet version can be spatialized in a rectangle or square: one singer per corner, and the audience in the centre. Each part is independent of the others, thus offering great freedom of choice to performers.
